great waves of love/pain

find power in tears

falling

falling

onto a ground

of harden clay

longing for rejuvenation

burned by the fires

of disappointment

lost in the murky waters

of lost innocence

where love and doubt

swim together against

the current

fighting to be

the first to reach my heart.

through the veils of pain

of memories

not to prove to you

my worthiness

for i have learned

my worth

in all its

brilliance

beauty

loveliness

truthfully

love still lives

living still in the fabric

of my heart

it lives longer than hate

will I ever feel the abandon

that its energy brings

will I ever trust again

will I ever know the freedom

that its protection gives

will I ever be whole again

will I ever know without a doubt

that I am following my heart

will I ever forgive myself

will I ever embrace fearlessness

knowing that it is only through

the courage to love that I will

know grace
